SHINING TRENDS

I cannot stop noticing that so many of the gifts out there sometimes do not raise up to the style of our men. Some are for teenagers, some for our grandparents, some are positioned so that women would react to them (the cute ones), but not necessarily right for the guy we love.

So what gift do you buy a style-aware and independent man?

Well, I think there should always be a balance between what YOU want to get for your lover and what HE actually wants and likes.

This type of balance can only be attained by having cohesion as a couple and having a good sense of observation.

What are his passions? What are the values and things he admires in other people or in his dad or grandfather?

How can you offer motivation or getting something useful for him to achieve these goals and at the same time putting in there something of you?

Books & Organizers are always a good option for the intellectual type. Or for the adventurous.  Active souls and wanderers would need something useful as a bag or a chic bicycle. Shyer and domestic personalities need something hot to make them more confident, such as clothing or a new fragrance or one of the bold yet classic Hugo Boss Watches.

You can be bold and go for something that highlights his vision and brings out his creativity – like a camera. This can also inspire him to adopt a new passion such as photography.

Mint ensembles started to be a fascination ever since I discovered French macarons I guess. Pale shades of green and pink and yellow all incredibly soft, sensual and romantic. It’s funny how you can almost turn mint into a basic, and pair with nudes and metallic for any type of outfit.

Either chic or bohemian, elegant or casual, mint is so versatile …yet so sophisticated.

Bold cuffs can stand alone on any wrist, you don’t need any other accessory! We really like these Greek goddess style bracelets, but remixed in a minimalistic style. Soft gold or even silver cuffs will enlighten any classy look, adding a bit of edge.

Earring Highlights

The time has come to wear those interesting earrings you were saving for banquets or cocktail parties. Dress them down with casual outfits or go for cool designs such as the zipper studs or “skulls”, “crosses” & “love” themed pieces.

Cara and Poppy sport my favorite style this season. The minimalistic feel is obviously something that I am looking for whenever constructing my casual outfits. Explosive Emerald and Blue shade accessories will revive your mood. Jackets are light and neutral so that you would feel the warmth of the sun. A see-through shirt should spice up your date nights. A daring red mini is all you need to feel like a rose at any cocktail party. Reinvent your leather skirt and pants and make them even sexier or sporty. Feel the heat with the gradient two-toned statement skirt! Indulge in a behemian escape with a floral dress or one with lace inserts.

It may be a little glum outside your window, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start looking ahead towards the beginning of spring and summer. Perhaps you’ve booked a last minute Easter break abroad or you’re waiting until the summer holidays to escape the humdrum – either way, if you start planning your suitcase requirements now, you can spread the cost.

The spring/summer trends are beginning to find their way onto the clothing rails, with a great collection to choose from already. Chinos are huge this year, being bang on trend for the fashion conscious male. With the nautical style that seems to be back this spring/summer season, a pair of navy chinos would look perfect. Alternatively, cargo pants will look super cool this season, whether it’s a plain grey pair or camouflage ones that take your fancy. They’d look fab with a cool graphic print tee and a pair of flip flops.

Tees

If you’re a dedicated follower of fashion, you’ll know the graphic tees are massive this season, with plenty to choose from in the George range. Layers

Even if you’re heading off for hotter climes where beautiful weather is guaranteed, pack a hoody or a light jumper, just in case. You never know whether you’ll need it during the cooler evenings, or if the weather takes a turn for the worst one day.

Other than the trusty flip flops for lazy days around the pool, boat shoes are the treads to watch this year. Invest in a casual pair in navy and team with your chino shorts and a classic polo for a fantastic summer look that won’t look out of place both before and after sunset.

A pair of canvas shoes or trainers will also be handy if you’re planning any day excursions – particularly if you’re the outdoorsy type that likes to embark on walking or hiking pursuits, as support and comfort are key.

Swimwear

There’s little point in relaxing by the pool if you’re not going to cool off by diving in occasionally. Invest in a pair of swim shorts; whatever your style, there’ll surely be something for you.

Be prepared this year and sort out your summer holiday capsule wardrobe before the day of departure. All you need to worry about then is remembering where you put your passport!
