I think the easiest way to find the perfect wedding dress is to see and try on lots of different dresses and styles. This way you’ll get all the insights you need and you will surely make the right choice in the end. As 2 of my friends are getting married this summer I browsed the web for some lovely wedding dresses and found lots of amazing and affordable options, even if you choose to have your wedding as a fairy tale or on the beach.

The latest wedding style combines simple elegant venues with sharp sophisticated couture dresses but it all depends on what you really like and how you imagined your dream wedding.

All wedding dresses have the classic shapes and I’m sure you all know them by now, so whether you decide to wear a princess dress, a column style dress, a ballroom dress, or a mermaid dress, I’m sure you will look amazing.

There are tons of bridal galleries and tools online so it will be easy to figure out what will look good on you before going out to bridal shops. I’ve done my research and here is a showcase of the most beautiful dresses I found.

Summer 2009 sunglasses are all about color and brights and retro shapes. I’ve seen fucshia and even teal colored frames and  so I guess we are reinventing the stunning older styles. Today it’s all about the cool meter and how high you are on its scale.

Stars are usually our inspiration for these kinds of things as they have their stylists and it’s much easier to get good examples this way. I love Ashlee Simpson’s glamouros big cat-eyes sunglasses because it’s a style that will never be pasee. Christina Aguilera’s white shades and Reese Witherspoon’s aviators are also some really cool options and they are perfect for small round faces.

Checked out Mango today and they have some stunning maxi dresses, actually lots of Mango dresses are quite hot :) I even tried on a couple and they are really amazing. Even if you are petite, you should try wearing a maxi dress at least once, because it has that special way of making you feel: casual and sexy.

Match it with some wedges and a short jacket and a cool clutch or hobo.

It’s really hard to select a good outfit for this occasion because you really need to be on your best appearance. There are heaps of stunning Mother of the bride dresses out there and you should be able to find something that makes you feel yourself and also makes you feel comfortable enough throughout the wedding party.

Not all the outfits include a seriously long evening dresses anymore and depending on your age and size you can easily adapt and accessorize the ensemble with simple refined jewelery or a fun clutch.

Le Deux Piece

I think that a soft warm toned color not too pastel or beige would be perfect. You can wear it with long or short-sleeved-jacket in the beginning and loose the jacket later in the evening. Usually this jacket has coordinated tone and materials and there are some custom made boleros have those small pearly details in soft patterns. I wouldn’t suggest matching a different color bolero because it can ruin the whole outfit.

Th clasic little black dress

This dress has no age and you can easily dress it up with some metallic accessories or an amazing pair of sandals. The lenght of the dress should have medium or ankle lenght in order to be able to still attend to your duties on the wedding day and not feel chained to the floor with a long dress.

Bold Choices

I also think a tailor made suit with pants would be a great option. You can wear it with a satin or silk top and a gorgeous wrap.  You can choose other trendy choices if you have the looks and a younger spirit, like a floral pattern dress, a one-shoulder dress or a lace detail dress.

Please don’t freak out, it’s not like I’m gonna ruin your perceptions about the gorgeous Balmain Spring 2009 collection…but I have to say it out loud : I hate the huge padded shoulders! There, I said it and it wasn’t even that hard.

I know they are pretty trendy this season, but I can’t imagine wearing them at all. I am particularly reluctant because I keep seeing the ’80s and ’90s image of my mom in my head and how she kept retouching them underneath her blouses or jackets because they kept sliding :)).

I even found a funny video on YouTube, a DIY video from ELLE in which they are showing how to create your own shoulder pads. Poor Johanna, she looks terrible in my opinion!

Whitney Port - New Girl, New Style, New York

You probably all know who Whitney Port is but do you like her style ? Even though she was the non-drama girl in The Hills I kinda loved when she appeared beacuse she had these incredibly chic outfits. She paired vintage with retro-casual and with sexy colorful items.

Yeah, it’s definitely a great change from the first season of  The Hills to what her style is now in The City, but this is a good thing. Fashion is constantly changing and is giving us new improved looks. Probably TeenVogue. People’s Revolution and now DVF changed her perspective on fashion and now she is showing us some great outfits.

 She combines these chic ultra feminine dresses with casual accessories and a relaxed attitude. She can wear flip-flops as easily as some stunning heels and still look gorgeous. I like that she focuses on a couple of high end items and then combines them with budget -friendly options or vintage styles. Her spring collection clothing line “Whitney Eve” has some really chic romantic looks that describe the old-school fashionista. Sweet flowy dresses, graphic shorts, romantic floral patterns. They’re just perfect for beach, sun and fun :)

In my opinion, Prom Night should be something to remember forever :) and I know you, girls try so hard to get everything perfect before the big night. There are lots of cool styles to try this year and as we have discovered in our poll this week, you like all kinds of dresses! Princess dresses

You have to try on at least one princess dress in order to understand what it feels like. Even though they are maxi dresses and have a lot of volume they are still smashing because they stand for universal beauty.

Short Dresses

If you think there’s going to be a lot of dancing a short dress is the perfect option. A short dress might be just the ticket to show off some sexy legs and some smashing shoes. Even if you like a neons or pastels, you can get inspired from Vanessa Hudgens or Ashley Tisdale who rock some amazing short styles at a red carpet event and you can actually find heaps of amazing similar Prom gowns to get the look at affordable prices.

Mermaid Dresses

These are probably the most common red-carpet style ever. They are chic and extremely figure-friendly and you get get extra points if you choose a one-shoulder dress or a cut-out back style. These dresses are usually very tight and wrapped around your body so you’d better work out before the event :) or choose a tough fabric that elongates your body and makes you slimmer.

The wedge is poised to become a really cool piece this summer. It’s versatile and chic and not to mention sooo comfy. This season’s styles are improved with sexy ankle straps and a little platform. You can easily accessorize with a casual-chic outfit and it’s also a good option for going to the office.

There are heaps of affordable styles and I found tons of cool wedges at Aldo and Nine West. I’ve also browsed through The Outnet and found some incredibly chic sandals in brown honey tones, just perfect for summer :)
