What a nicer way to start the day than with a couple of chic accessories. Summertime is the perfect season to wear fashion jewelry and to add color and glam to your outfits. There are tons of treasure looking earrings out there but try to step away from the ordianary hoops or simple silver stoned ones. Be creative this summer and try some bright fun options.

Rings can be a great way to catch the eyes fast. Our hands are constantly moving and explaining so people are generally focusing a lot on them. If you choose a statement ring be sure not to go overboard with a neon nail-polish because it can look cheap. Better go for natural pink / beige shades and this way your ring will be the main focus. Summer of 2009 ring trends are focused on large stones, studs, geometrical shapes or floral detailing.

Statement neckalaces are my favorite accessory this summer. Forget long simple pearlnecklaces because they are over. This season we are talking about short and chunky. Go for metallic shades or neon floral necklaces and you’ll definitely feel the magic of summer !

The shorts of 2009 are more relaxed and “boyfriend type” than the ones before. The old school, 20’s look from the runway left a deep mark on shop’s collections.  The cuffed short comes in soft neutral shades at Hermes or Chloe but also in a variety of prints, for example the lovely line of Collete Dinnigan. If you want to stand out the hot pants are definitely the way to do it, otherwise I’ll vote for the loose boyfriend shorts, a simple high-waisted option with a bow belt.

Kanye’s video looks very similar to the SinCity visuals and the black and white style  is really fresh these days. I really like this song and I think RiRi looks amazing in her sexy nightwear and the cut-out corset. I was wondering what she would wear and I was sure it had to be viciously hot :) So, today’s outfit is all about black sexy pieces. We’ve got Viktor and Rolf and Balmain. What do you think?

I just loved the idea behind Project Bike Lane ! We needed something like this so bad to lift the non-stylish karma we felt when rinding our bikes. Apparently there are tons of ideas and solutions for this and LVMH and DKNY are going to support these lines 100%.

Unisex clothing lines could be difficult to pull off because of the lenghts of the jackets but the winner of this contest figured out something really cool to modify this. She added some bungee cords to the design and this proved to be just the ingredient for a fresh stylish bike collection.

I think that it’s really though to get on a bike and still look good. If you have to ride a long distance it can be a great challenge to keep your clothes in good clean shape until you reach the office.

This kinds of initiatives are welcome and inspiring for all Eco-Chic Bikers :)
