As spring has fully taken its right on the thermometer, we should start discovering the new pieces of this season. It’s warmer now and it’s easy to accessorize these fabulous styles. These dresses are poised to become a huge part of any spring wardrobe and you will that they are also very much figure-friendly.

The Shirt Dress

The first item that probably caught your eye by now is the shirt dress. Even if you like the casual shirt dress (Pacsun) or you choose a more glamorous cocktail option, the shirt dress can be a terrific option. I personally love the plaid one because it has a super casual style and can be worn with both flats and heels. You can pair it with a short, cropped jacket as seen on tons of fashionphilles. The cool nude leather jacket (Doma) is a spot-on style this spring and you could accessorize it with metallics.

The Floral Dress

Another hot key piece is the floral dress. There are heaps of gorgeous options out there and you can also play with the size too as both the mini and the maxi are stunning hot. I saw lots of florals in the shops and I couldn’t help noticing that some of them have really crowded prints. I don’t recommend you wearing a bouquet of flowers on your dress, but choosing something romantic and versatile. For example an artistic floral pattern might be just the ticket for a casual office look.

The material of the dress is also important as this is the thing that chooses the time of the day that you should wear it. Go for something opaque during the day, like cotton and  try to keep the sheer options for later at dawn :) If your dress is short  and soft transparent and you want to wear it during the day you can wear it with leggings or opaque thighs.

 The maxi dress is easier beacause it practically covers you all up. I’ve seen it worn with Converse sneakers and cropped jeans jackets and they lookes relly cool. You can also match them with flips flops or wedges for a summer look, but we’ll get into that in a future article. 

The floral print dress can be paired with black statement heels (Balmain - in the pic) and cropped jacket (H&M). The edgy accessories give this outfit a note-worthy look (sunglasses - Topshop, clutch - Miu Miu, necklace - Ann Demeulemeester).

The Tunic

This top / dress is poised to because a really big thing as it’s the most versatile of all of them. You can imagine wearing as a dress if it’s long enough or with shorts, jeans, or leggings. Some pieces of this outfit  are already on the March Hotlist and you already know all about the ripped denim trend.

There are tons of hot options in the shops, I especially love the tunics that have this houglass shape and are casual and sexy.  The embroidery can be cool on tunics and it gives them a bohemian chic look (Check out some Vanessa Hudgens styles).  If you can’t afford a glamorous version like this one (Calypso Juna smock top - Net-A-Porter) you can choose a simple tunic and then style it up with a skinny belt or some long necklaces or oversized earrings (these are Wetseal).

JoAnna Garcia plays the lovely Megan Smith in Privileged Tv series. Stylistically speaking she is not very complex but she has that sort of casual chic style that can bring up her personality. What I really noticed about her outfits was that the main focus is set on jeans and cardigans. I’ve watched carefully and I think she has cardigans in every colour!!

The jeans are usually dark and skinny but you can adapt them to your personal style. If you hate skinnies or you’re tired of them your can always go for flared ones. These are from Pacsun.com.

The cardigan can be embellished or simple and usually Megan wears them unbuttoned. Pick a longer one if you like the ruffled cardigan trend. This one is actually soldout on Forever21 but I found a new sequined cardigan.

Ballet flats are summer’s hot list items. Bold colors are really cool this season so what are you waiting for and wear your navy or pink flats. These are H&M but there are lots of flats out there that can work just try to keep them one color.

The bag is more of a functional thing for Megan so try to add something that highlights your outfit. I loved Karen Millen’s Tropical Bag because it’s perfect for this season and has the perfect mix of fabrics.

Jewelry is not so important for Megan but I noticed that she has a very simple and soft feather necklace. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to fing something similar but you can try anything vintage with a little charm pendant.

The skirtmust be high-waisted and you can choose from different trendy patterns of the season (florals, water collors) mixed with a tight tank. I’ve seen Megan with different color tanks (white, black, pink) and I can say that the simple top really gives her a comfy and sexy look.

The cardigan is a statement piece for the Privileged star so get comfy and romantic with this Shrug Knit.

The accessories complete the casual look so you can choose some leather strap detail flats that can be found at Boden or some beige sunglasses. I just loved the color of this leather tote and the fact that it kinda matches everything! You can wear a small bracelet or a watch, this one is from Gwen Stefani’s collection and it’s called The Sweet Escape.

I recently came across CWtv’s hot series Privileged and I absolutely loved it! I find myself laughing and living every second of it. But besides the story and the drama, the style of the characters is amazing. Rose and Sage Baker played by Lucy Hale and Ashley Newbrough are the perfect fashionistas, so glamorous even when going to school. Joanna Garcia plays the role of Megan Smith and manages to enchant us with her  casual chic outfits and especially with her tutor-girl attitude.

The show is not as focussed on socialite life as Gossip Girl and has more of an L.A. relaxed apraoch on lifestyle and fashion. But still, I love the clothes and all the outfits are amazing!

Rose wears neons and metallics almost every time. She has a playful personality and she can usually pull off short tops or really short skirts. To get her look choose a strapless dress and some shinny heels. Accessories are really a big deal and be sure to wear a glamorous headband and maybe lots of jewelry.

Sage Baker brings a more tense style to Privileged. Although, she still rocks a spoiled rich girl look, Sage is more confident and diva like so she ditches heavy accessories and usually chooses a few statement pieces. If you like her look, choose bold colored stilettos and exatravagant headbands. I’ve seen her dressed in skinny jeans and cropped preppy blazers and they both work great.

I love Vanessa Hudgens!! Well not her role in HSM, (she looks too innocent) but her style and her looks :) I like her because she has a really unique way of wearing clothes, a rather younger  version of Rachel Bilson.

If you want to get het look you have to pay a really good attention to details. Accessories make the difference and the hairstyle gives you another 30%. For extra points you should consider a sexy LBD, high heels and a great tan. :)

For more relaxed ocasions, miss HSM  chooses comfortable outfits that define her age but also the trends. This fall she mixed the blazer and the boyfriend cardigan with skinny cuffed jeans and statement necklaces.

When the weather gets cold Vanessa Hudgens warms it with a pair of opaque leggings and a nice coat . The floral dress is really nice and it goes perfecly with the suede flats. If it’s colder where you live you can always skip the ballet flats and replace them with a cool pair of flat boots.

“Victoria’s Secret is about sexy and the new sexy is glamorous for this season. The theme of the show is a return to glamour.” Sharen Turney - CEO .

The angels were more mesmerizing than even at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Though the event is more some kind of a party than a fashion show, it surely captures the attention of everybody with it’s amazing angels, wings and glamour. Glamour is the new keyword for the lingerie collection and for all the accessories. Apparently, world situation must be improved by a different attitude and a lot more optimism. Usher rocked the scene at the Fontainebleau Hotel and created the mood for the runway extraaganza.

The seasons are knocking on our doors and we should always be prepared with something to wear. You never know when you get an invite to THE party and you have nothing to wear. I’ve created a list with TOP dress choices for this season. You can look glam and be on top of trends.

The best choice is always the black dress. Even if you think it’s did and done, you can always reinvent it. Accessorize with some amazing shoes and be an elegant diva. You can choose something that suits your shape and you can even go back in time and rediscover shining trends from the 50s or 70s.

If you don’t want to look too serious wearing just black, you can pump up the style with a black and white combination. Use an intense shade of red to look glamorous or to blend with the season’s colors. You should look out for the type of dress you choose, make sure not to over-try wearing it. Forget the stripes and go for something simple and chic.

One of the smartest way to look good at a party is to shine!! :). Metallics are really hot this winter and you should make the most of them. Go for  bronze, champagne, gold and silver to cheer the holidays. Still, be careful not to look like a Christmas decoration. Focus on the accessories and you’re good to go.

A lace dress works perfectly for holiday parties because it never goes out of style. It can get you through a family party or even an office cocktail. Use clasic makeup that highlights your natural beauty like mascara or a liquid eyeliner. Don’t forget to wear heels and a special purse. You shouldn’t wear too much jewelry because it would make the outfit look very detailed.

However if you want to be remembered like the hottest person at the party you should brake some rules and check out some hot trends. Choose a sequin dress or be a red dress diva! Choose mettalic sandals to complete your look. Neons are still on for this season, so what are you waiting for? My favourite though, remains the floral pattern dress with a gorgeous pair of peep-toes.

As we all know dates are kind of stressful when it comes to dressing up and making a good first impression. You should remember that self-confidence is the most important thing no matter what you wear! Be yourself and feel good in the clothes that you choose. I’ve put together an outfit for a casual date, for going to see a movie, have a drink or go for a walk.

3.  Amber Pleated Shorts. They are the sexy part of this outfit. You will turn some heads and definitely your partner’s. :). You can replace them with some jeans or a simple skirt. 

4. Gavivi Wedge Sandals  available on F21. You have the heels but you can still walk!

5. Deux Lux Pintuck Hobo from UrbanOutfitters. The bag says you are feeling good about your personal style and aren’t afraid to make a statement. Remember that usually men don’t really know what’s shining on trend-lane so don’t be that eager to show him your feather clutches or neonic shoes, keep it simple!

6. Burberry Summer Fragrance 7.  Bare Escentuals Eyeshadow from Sephora. The makeup and the fragrance that you are wearing can be extremely important for the way the evening goes. I’ve chosen this fragrance that I absolutely love and that is suitable for summer evenings. As for the makeup, you should highlight your eyes rather than your lips  if we are talking about a casual date. However, if you are going at a fancy restaurant the lips should be highlighted (red or shinny lipgloss) and for the eyes the clasic mascara and black khol should do the trick.

You shouldn’t go for too many accessories, heavy makeup or a way too sexy outfit. They will shout ”you’re trying too hard “. These can influence the way that you are seen and you will surely be unconfortable. Be ellegant and try not to have undity shoes or bad maniquire.
